Father David Wheeler was assigned to the Cathedral of Christ the King as a Parochial Vicar on October 1st 2020. Before that time he served for three months as the Sacramental Minister of St Andrews in Harrodsburg. Fr. Wheeler grew up in Clay County, Kentucky as a parishioner of St. Ann Mission. He is the fourth of seven children and was homeschooled through high school. After working for three years in construction and farming, David entered seminary for the Diocese of Lexington. After receiving a BA in philosophy and humanities David was sent to the Pontifical North American College in Rome, where he earned a Bachelor of Sacred Theology (STB) from the Pontifical Gregorian University and an Sacred Theological License (STL) in moral theology from the Angelicum. Father David was ordained to the priesthood on June 29th 2019 in the Cathedral of Christ the King.
