Deacon Larry Cranfill was ordained in 1995 with the first deacon class in the Diocese of Lexington. He is an active member of St. Mildred parish, a 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and currently serves on the Diocesan Financial Committee. He has worked in multiple industries including farming, veterinary services, and chemical sales. He is a Rotarian, past-president of the Pulaski County Industrial Foundation Board, a board member of the Over My Head Homeless Shelter, past member of Lake Cumberland Hospice Board, and responsible for gaining the first full time Fellowship of Christian Athletes director in Pulaski county. For 8 years, he owned his own business, Auto Electric, Inc., a small parts house in Somerset. He expanded that business to include personal watercraft and four-wheelers, becoming the first Polaris dealer in his community. In 1996, he was recruited to become the first Community President of First Southern National Bank. He recently retired from there after 23 years and now is leading the introduction of Journey of Generosity to the Diocese of Lexington. He has been married to his wife, Tammy, for 40 years. They have three children and six amazing grandchildren.
